Kanban on Track - Evolutionary Change Management at the Swiss Railways - Michael Beyer & Siegfried Kaltenecker (#042)

“The story of a team who found the way out of hell to excellence, led by Kanban.” (smile)

The Case Story explains how Kanban was introduced in a 30 people Team at a Swiss Railways IT Department. What where the reasons for the change? What made trouble and where did the team succeed? How did the change influence leadership, culture and organisation? How is the Kanban system running after almost 3 years and where is the change process heading to? And how did our Kanban initiative affect the whole organisation to become more lean and agile?

Michael Beyer, Department Manager of the ‘Unified Network Objects’ Team at Swiss Railways explains the inner perspective of the evolution in this talk, while Sigi Kaltenecker who supported the change as a coach gives an outside point of view. Together we will sum up about lessons learned, traps and obstacles.
